How it works
How TMET Prep builds and validates practice material
TMET Prep is a study aid, not an exam dump. Here is exactly how each practice bank is researched, written, checked and labelled — so you can judge how much to trust it.
Cache-first, always
If a ready exam already exists for what you searched, TMET Prep serves that exam instead of building another copy. Nothing is regenerated just because someone typed the name slightly differently — the server, not your browser, makes that call.
Official-outline research
Research starts with the exam authority or testing provider's own published outline and candidate handbook, and the sources we relied on are stored as citations you can open and check yourself.
Blueprint weighting
Practice tests mirror the researched domain mix. If a domain is roughly a third of the real exam, it's roughly a third of your practice test — so your score reflects where you actually stand.
Original questions
Every question is written fresh from the researched outline. TMET Prep does not copy, scrape, or reproduce questions from the real exam or from another prep provider's bank.
Validation passes
Generated banks go through automated checks before they're published: exactly four options per question, duplicate and near-duplicate detection, option-length parity so the longest answer isn't always right, answer-letter balancing across A–D, and fact spot-checks on a sample of the bank.
Flashcards from the same research
Flashcards are derived from the same outline research and question bank, so terms and concepts line up with what your practice test is testing.
Official vs community confidence
Every exam carries a confidence label. Official means the blueprint was matched to the exam authority's own published outline. Community means the outline could not be confirmed on an authoritative source, so the domain mix is a best-effort reconstruction. Either way, always confirm the current exam format, time limit and passing score with the official provider before test day — providers change blueprints without notice.
Free and premium generation
Free exam generation runs on our free model. Premium generation, available only to signed-in accounts with a verified paid entitlement, uses a stronger paid model for deeper research and fact-checking. Which model runs is decided on our servers from your verified account — never by the browser — so a free build can never quietly bill a premium model, and a premium build can never silently fall back to the free one.
